Peserta didik yang memiliki bakat dalam bidang akademik tertentu bisa mengikuti klub belajar. Dalam klub belajar akan mendapatkan fasilitas yang lebih dari teman-temannya yang tidak mengikuti klub. Fasilitas tersebut berupa pembinaan oleh alumni, guru, dan pembina khusus klub dari guru bidang studi dan dosen. SMAN 4 Denpasar memiliki 11 klub belajar diantaranya Klub Biologi, Fisika, Matematika, Kimia, Astronomi, Komputer, Ekonomi, Geografi dan Kebumian, Bahasa Inggris, Bahasa Jerman, dan Klub Bahasa Jepang.

Grand Opening Student Common Room

The student common room is inaugurated by the mayor of Denpasar and marked by the sign of the mayor on a inscription. The head of SMAN 4 Denpasar said that, this room will be a strategic for the foursma family to make some interaction, communication and as a place of the student to share some information. The student common room is situated on the top floor of Canteen Building. Students generally use the common room as a place to eat, for social gatherings and as a collaborative work-study room.

This student common room also contains a wifi feature, to access some information from internet. The student common room may become very busy and noisy around lunch times and during exam periods. The common room contains a AC, LCD Projector, Television and some table and some chairs for general student use. The mayor of Denpasar expect that with this building, SMAN 4 Denpasar can and always can to create a good student that not arrogant and has benefit to Indonesian future.
